2021 has been a year of immense learning and planning for the Blue Flag program. Many ofyou have helped us understand science, policies, and procedures; were patient while wegathered resources; and worked with us side by side to produce quality content for theprogram. Without you there is no Blue Flag program in the United States.

Workshops will continue throughout 2022 and at future conferences. Keep an eye out for more information and we hope to see you there.
BF Mexico Promotes Regional Knowledge Exchange
FEE Mexico, the National Operator for the Blue Flag program, administered the Blue Flag award to 90 sites (60 beaches, 2 marinas, and 29 tourism boats) in 2021. In addition, they coordinatedthe first Americas Regional Meetings in October for all international programs–Blue Flag, Eco-schools, LEAF, YRE, and Green Key. Over three days, operators from programs around theAmerica’s shared best practices, challenges, and resources for implementing effective environmental programing.
