2022 Blue Flag Summer Series

The Blue Flag Summer Series  is comprised of 3 events on beach management topics. Events were held monthly from May-July and had two-three presentations each followed by a discussion.

The Blue Flag USA program is responsible for providing support and engagement to coastal communities on various topics to support the ideal of sustainable development through environmental education. Previously, staff held a national workshop at the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association’s 2021 National Coastal Conference. This year we are excited to host a 3 month series of meetings discussing sustainable beach management topics and themes in an effort to bring together candidate sites, awarded sites, industry, managers, stakeholders, and more to share experiences.
